The Alamance County Public Libraries serve 169,500 residents in Burlington. Established after the dissolution of the Central North Carolina Regional Library System, the Alamance County Public Libraries emerged alongside the Chatham County Public Libraries. Its member libraries include the May Memorial Library, Graham Library, Mebane Library, North Park Library, a Mobile Library, and BookMark. The library houses approximately 216,000 volumes and circulates 601,080 items annually. It offers pickup lockers at the Graham Library and home delivery of large print and audiobook materials for homebound patrons. Patrons can access a variety of resources, including a meeting room, public computers, WiFi, wireless printing, Zoom passes, and interlibrary loans. Programs and activities range from early literacy programs and storywalks to GED classes. Additionally, it has a Makerspace at North Park Library and a seed library offering free plant seeds for borrowing.
