The Mooneyham Public Library is a municipal library, serving 7,358 residents of Forest City in Rutherford County. The library was founded in 1964 and named for Mr. Oscar Jeter Mooneyham and Mrs. Mary Louise Adkinson Mooneyham. It is housed in the Forest City's Town Hall and is open between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday to Friday. It provides four public computers, WiFi access, a Krayon Kiosk with 4 Apple iPads in the children's section, printing/scanning/faxing services, storytime events, and Summer reading programs.
