The William K. Sanford Town Library is also known as the Town of Colonie Library, serving over 81,000 residents of the city of Loudonville, located in Albany County, New York. It was renamed to the William K. Sanford Town Library in May 1985 to honor Mr. Sanford's long years of service. The library maintains a collection of more than 130,000 volumes and circulates approximately 700,000 items per year, including fiction and nonfiction books, picture books, newspapers, magazines, and reference materials. The library offers meeting and study spaces, WiFi, desktop computers for public use, computer assistance, printing, photocopying, scanning, and faxing. It also has a Maker Lab featuring spaces, equipment, and tools such as Cricut machines, a VHS Converter, and podcasting equipment for digital creation. Additionally, it offers art & writing workshops, crafts, games, book clubs, StoryWalk, technology classes, and other programs.
