The Vernon Area Public Library District serves 44,000 residents of Lincolnshire and the unincorporated community of Prairie View, most of Long Grove, portions of Buffalo Grove, Riverwoods, and Vernon Hills in Lake County, Illinois. The library maintains over 182,000 volumes and circulates roughly 761,000 items per year, including books, movies, music CDs, audiobooks, and magazines. The library services include study rooms available for booking, WiFi, computers with internet access, Microsoft Office software, reference resources, and educational programs, printing/copying/scanning, and 3D printing. It also offers test proctoring, notary public, and home delivery to homebound residents, as well as preschool storytime, book discussion groups, and numerous other library events.
