The Pine Bluffs Branch Library, a publicly funded and managed library and an affiliate of the Laramie County Library System, serves a little more than 1,400 residents in Pine Bluffs, a town in eastern Laramie County, Wyoming. Founded in 1923, the Pine Bluffs Branch is the pioneer branch of the Laramie County Library System, which started with only 1,199 books. Today, it is situated adjacent to the town police department where access can be provided to the Laramie County School District #2 and the rural areas surrounding the county. The Pine Bluffs Branch is only one of the two branches, plus the central library – Laramie County Library, plus the Laramie County Library System Bookmobile, with a total aggregated visit of almost half a million and more than 70,000 registered borrowers. The branch also contributes to the overall collection and services of the Laramie County Library System, which maintains more than 300,000 book and serial volumes; a little more than 7,000 electronic books; more than 25,000 audio and more than 18,000 video collections; and circulates more than 750,000 items per year.
