The Beaverton City Library serves roughly 148,940 residents of Beaverton in Washington County. Established in 1938 through the efforts of the Kiwanis Club, the library has since expanded its collections and services. It currently occupies a 67,000-square-foot library at Fifth Avenue and Hall Boulevard, and includes the Main Library, Murray Scholls Branch, and Bookmobile. The library system maintains over 305,000 volumes and circulates 3.5 million items per year, including books of different genres, music, and DVDs. Additionally, it offers events like storytime, citizenship classes, mindfulness classes, English and Spanish conversation clubs, and Art STEM.
