The Community Library serves about 5,000 people in the city of Ketchum, Blaine County. The library is a non-profit privately-owned free library opened in 1955 following the establishment of the Community Library Association by seventeen forward-thinking women in Idaho. The library is housed in a 28,000-square-foot building, with a Regional History Museum and a collection of fiction and nonfiction books and digital resources. It provides free library cards and services for all patrons, including temporary residents and visitors from within and outside the country. Additionally, the community library offers classes and discussions around different topics, including Spanish language learning, and is open from 10 am, Monday to Saturday.
