The Severn Community Library serves about 53,374 residents who live in Severn, a census-designated place in Anne Arundel County. The library, one of the divisions of the Anne Arundel Public Library, was dedicated in 1986 and currently holds a collection of over 731,000 books and serial volumes and circulates more than 5.1 million items per year, including the special collections of the Military Family Resource and Healing Library Kits. It provides weekly preschool programs and game nights for adults in addition to computers for public use, copying, printing, faxing, and scanning services.
