The Montgomery City-County Public Library serves about 229,360 residents in the city of Montgomery. The library first opened its doors in 1899 and has since grown to expand its collections and services, currently circulates 686,184 items annually with over 600,000 volumes in the collection. The library items include books, audiobooks, CDs, videos, and electronic resources. It provides public computers, internet access, technology services, and computer training such as Computer Basic, Google Glass, and Microsoft Office.
