The Linden Hill Community Library, a division of the Hennepin County Library, serves the residents in Southwest Minneapolis and nearby Edina. The library was founded in 1931 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places after receiving historic designation from the Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Commission. Among other collections, the library's books and materials cover history and genealogy, arts, culture, politics, and health and wellness. The library also offers free events like the Moon Festival, Story Stroll, and Kid's Chess Club.
