The Light Street Branch Library is a division of the Enoch Pratt Free Library that serves over 500,000 residents in the city of Baltimore. The library system maintains over 2.2 million volumes and circulates 1.2 million items annually, including magazines, newspapers, videos, computer disks, movies, and federal and state documents. Since it first opened its doors in 1886, the Light Street branch has offered programs for all ages, jobs & career assistance, public computers, free WiFi, as well as printing and copying services to the South Baltimore neighborhoods, including Federal Hill, Locust Point, Otterbein, and Sharp-Leadenhall.
