The Lake Crystal Public Library is a publicly funded and managed library that serves 2,539 residents in the city of Lake Crystal, in Blue Earth County, Minnesota. As an affiliate library of the Blue Earth County Library, it contributes to the overall collection and services of the county library, which includes almost 150,000 book and serial volumes, a little more than 20,000 eBooks, almost 5,000 audios, almost 9,000 videos, and circulates almost 330,000 items per year. Though incorporated in 1926, as early as 1913, the library all started in Mrs. H.A. Dodge's reading room. Today, the county has a total of 225,748 visitors and 13,185 registered borrowers. Additionally, they aim to uphold their mission o provide access to resources, services, activities, and information of local interest to encourage life-long learning in a cost-effective manner.
