The Hurlock Branch Library serves about 2,100 residents of Hurlock Town in Dorchester County, Maryland. The library is one of the two branches of the Dorchester County Public Library, which maintains over 83,900 volumes and circulates more than 125,000 items each year, including books, magazines, and DVDs. It was founded in 1900 as the Hurlock Free Library with 300 books and has now grown to become a resource center for Hurlock and neighboring communities. Additionally, the library offers storytime events.
