The Henderson District Public Libraries serves 264,839 residents in the city of Henderson. The library was founded in 1944 in Downtown Henderson and has now expanded across five locations to better meet the needs of Henderson City residents. It maintains 419,610 volumes and circulates 1.7 million items annually, including genealogy and local history materials. The library provides study rooms, computers, mobile printing, and 3D printing. It also offers winter reads, storytime, book clubs, crafts, teen writing contests, book sales, small business workshops, and other numerous programs.
