The Edgewater Community Library serves about 9,446 residents in the city of Edgewater. The library is a member of Anne Arundel County Public Library, which maintains a collection of more than 801,000 volumes and circulates about 5.1 items per year. The Edgewater branch was launched in 1991 and housed in a 12,000-square-foot building shared by the South County Senior Center. It provides print books, audiobooks, eBooks, magazines, music, and movies for all ages, fishing poles for checkout, and numerous events such as storytime, arts, and crafts for kids, teens, and adults. In addition, it offers public computers with internet access and Microsoft Office packages, as well as other technology services.
