The Deschutes Public Library serves 167,000 residents of Bend in Deschutes County. It includes six branch libraries, maintains 275,970 volumes, and circulates 1.7 million items per year. The library has a Makerspace, which provides various tools and technology for hands-on creative projects. It offers public computers, wireless internet access, printing/copying/scanning/faxing services, orbituary request services, educator & student resources, computer classes, and homebound delivery of print books and audiobook CDs to eligible residents.
