The Apalachin Public Library serves 2,356 residents in the City of Apalachin in Tioga County. The library was established in 1957 and became affiliated with the Finger Lakes Library System as the Apalachin Reading Center in 1970. The current Apaplachin Library opened its doors in 2008 and maintains collections of books, bestsellers, books on CDs, DVDs, and American Girl Dolls. It offers access to electronic databases, interlibrary loans, a Makerspace, Meeting Spaces, 24-hour WiFi, Computers, Summer Reading, Monthly book discussion groups, and office services like photocopying and faxing.
