The Lower Umpqua Library District serves 4,320 residents in the City of Reedsport, Douglas County. It maintains 16,000 volumes in its collections and circulates books, audiobooks, DVDs, magazines, and Spanish, Chinese, and other World Language resources. It also houses Genealogy, Pacific Northwest, Classics, and Anime/Animation resources. The library provides public computers, hotspots, WiFi, printing/copying services, and various in-person and virtual programs like Knit & Crotchet Group, Storytime, and Book Club.
