The Indianapolis Public Library System serves more than 870,000 residents in Indianapolis City, Marion County. The library maintains over 1.5 million volumes and circulates more than 15 million items per year. As part of its commitment to providing equal access to resources for all residents of the library district, the library has recently removed the fee for overdue materials in addition to forgiving unpaid fines for library users.
